assessable value of real property within said town, based on
the State and County assessments for all purposes; provided,
however, that the pro rata part of the Thirty Cent tax shall be
assessed after the passage of this Act as it bears to the who%
for the calendar year 1943, for the purpose of defraying gov-
ernmental expenses of the said town, to provide for the collec-
tion of Garbage and Trash, Ashes, and the repair of streets,
etc.; and that the Treasurer of Prince George's County shall be
and he is hereby authorized to give the District Heights Com-
mission, or the Treasurer of said town, a copy of the tax list
for said town, annually or as often as is necessary, and all
taxes so levied shall be a lien on any and all property of the
person, firm, partnership, company, association or corporation
against whom they may be levied.

Bub-section (D) of Section 6. That for the purposes of
determining whether the residents of the Town of District
Heights desire the aforesaid tax increase, there shall be held a
referendum in said town between the hours of 1. 00 o'clock
P. M., and 10. 00 o'clock P. M., on the First Monday following
the expiration of twenty days (20) after the approval of this
Act, or if approved before the First Monday in May, that said
referendum shall be held at the Annual Election of said town
on that date. And all citizens of the United States and of the
Town of District Heights, who are registered voters of said
town and who may be registered on said regular registration
dates as provided by law for Town elections shall be eligible to
vote in said referendum. That the Board of Election Super-
visors appointed by the District Heights Commission pursuant
to law for the conduct of the regular May election are hereby
designated to conduct this referendum in the same manner as
town elections are conducted.

Sub-section (E) of Section 6. That said Board of Election
Supervisors shall provide booths, ballot boxes and ballots. The
ballots, which shall be printed, shall contain the words "FOR
TAX INCREASE" on one line, with a blank square opposite at the
right on the same line, and the words "AGAINST TAX INCREASE"
on another line, with a blank square opposite at the right on
the same line; and all qualified voters desiring to vote for the
tax increase shall place a mark (X) in the square opposite the
words "FOR TAX INCREASE", and all qualified voters desiring to
vote against the tax increase shall place a mark (X) in the
square opposite the words "AGAINST TAX INCREASE. "

Sub-section (D) Section 7.

All taxes levied by the District Heights Commission on real
estate shall be for the calendar year and that January first
shall be the date of Finality, said taxes shall be due and pay-
