tion 10 of Chapter 61 of the Acts of the Extraordinary Ses-
sion of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1936, entitled
"An Act to incorporate the Town of District Heights, in
Prince George's County", et cetera, as the same was repealed
and re-enacted by Chapter 273 of the Acts of the Regular
Session of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1937, and as
the same was repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 221 of the
Acts of the Regular Session of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1939; relating to increase in the amount of the
Treasurer's salary, changing the amount of the bond in the
discretion of the Commission, increase in the Town's tax
rate and referendum thereon, and change in the hours of
registration and voting in said town.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sub-sections I and K of Section 3; sub-sections A,
D and E of Section 6; sub-section D of Section 7; sub-
sections F and L of Section 10 of Chapter 61 of the Acts of the
Extraordinary Session of 1936, as the same was repealed and
re-enacted by Chapter 273 of the Acts of the Regular Session
1937, and Chapter 221 of the Acts of the Regular Session of
1939, be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
Sub-section (I) of Section 3. That said Commission shall
by resolution appoint a town Treasurer to be known as the
District Heights Treasurer, who shall also act as Clerk to said
Commission. The salary of said town Treasurer shall be
One Hundred Dollars (f 100. 00) per annum.
Sub-section (K) of Section 3. That said town Treasurer,,
before entering upon the duties of his office, shall take the
constitutional oath of office, before the Chairman Commis-
sioner, or before a Justice of the Peace or other officer or
person, (including a Notary Public), authorized to administer
oaths in Prince George's County, And also shall give bond
to the Town of District Heights with such surety or sureties
as said Commission may by resolution require, in the sum of
One Thousand Dollars ($1, 000. 00) or in a greater amount at
the discretion of the District Heights Commission. The cost
of said bond shall be paid out of town funds. Said bond, or a
certified copy thereof, and said oath of office, or a certified
copy thereof, shall be kept among the town records.
Sub-section (A) of Section 6. That the town of District
Heights shall have power to levy, in the established month for
levy in Prince George's County of each year, beginning with
the calendar year 1943, taxes at the rate of not exceeding Thirty
Cents (0. 30) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00) of the
