200 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 197

Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Oysters", sub-
title "Time for Taking Oysters", be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as fol-
lows:

18. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to
take or catch oysters or have oysters in his or their pos-
session between the fifteenth day of April and the first day
of September in each and every year; provided, that oys-
ters caught before the fifteenth day of April may be dis-
posed of at any time before the twentieth day of April;
nor shall it be construed to prevent any person from taking
oysters at any time from his private beds within the State
for private use or transplanting or cultivating but not for
sale, except for seed for planting purposes within the State
of Maryland, nor shall it be construed to prevent any per-
son or persons from importing into the State at any time
any oysters of specae ostrea Virginica for planting pur-
poses; provided, however, that it shall be lawful to take
oysters from the waters of Worcester County at any time
by the use of scrapes or dredges, any other law to the con-
trary notwithstanding, and to ship the same in the shell,
and no license fee shall be charged therefor.

SEC. 2. And -be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 197.
(House Bill 151)

AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 61 of Article 99
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Water Fowl—Birds and Game", sub-title "Otter, 'Muskrat,
Raccoon and Opossum", as said section was amended by
Chapter 840 of the Acts of 1941, said new sub-section to be
known as Sub-section (dd) of said section and to follow
immediately after Sub-section (d) of said section, relating
to the taking alive and keeping of skunks.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to Sec-
tion 61 of Article 99 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Water Fowl—Birds and Game", sub-title
"Otter, Muskrat, Raccoon and Opossum", as said section was
amended by Chapter 840 of the Acts of 1941, said new sub-
