transported from the established place of business of the manu-
facturer to the point of destination when said vehicles are
being moved on the highways of this State.

57. SPECIAL USB OF REGISTRATION PLATES PROVIDED FOR
INTRA-STATE PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION WITHIN PRESCRIBED
URBAN LIMITS. Any person who is the holder of special regis-
tration plates provided for in the law relating to common car-
riers, upon first notifying the Department of his intention so to
do, may transfer for a period not exceeding fifteen (15) days,
said registration plates to a motor vehicle owned by a manu-
facturer and operate same over the existing route or routes for
a trial or demonstration period.

58. USE OF "USED CAR DEALER" REGISTRATION PLATES.
Whenever a sale of a motor vehicle is made by a dealer in used
or second hand vehicles, registered under this Article, such
dealer may permit the purchaser of such vehicle to use such
Used Car Dealer registration plates for the vehicle so pur-
chased for a period of not exceeding ten days from the date
of sale, provided the dealer shall give to such purchaser per-
mission so to use such registration plates, said permission
to be in substitution for registration card and to be on forms
furnished by the Department to the dealer, which said per-
mission shall bear the signature of the dealer and shall be
displayed as registration cards are now required to be dis-
played and provided further that before the dealer shall sub-
scribe and furnish such permission to such purchaser such
dealer shall have received from the purchaser the written ap-
plication for the titling and the registration of the said motor
vehicle with the prescribed fees therefor and shall forward the
same by mail or messenger to the Department within ten days.
Dealer shall notify Department immediately upon failure of
purchaser to return plates at the expiration of the ten (10) day
period. Failure by dealer to so notify Department will be con-
sidered as prima facie evidence of the violation of this section.

59. PENALTIES. Any person who shall fail or refuse to com-
ply with the provisions of Sections 54, 55, 56, 57, 58 and 59,
or shall cause or permit such registration plates to be used
in violation of any of the provisions of this Article, and any
person using such registration plates in violation of the pro-
visions hereof shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and,
upon conviction shall be fined not less than One ($1. 00) dollar
nor more than One hundred (f 100. 00) dollars, and upon con-
viction of any person, all registration plates issued to such
person under Classes I, R, S and T of Section 74 of this Article
shall be subject to revocation or suspension by the Depart-
