CHAPTER 937.

(Senate Bill 580)

AN ACT to repeal Section 240 of Article 20 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Somerset County", sub-title "Notary Public", said sec-
tion relating to the appointment of a notary public in
Princess Anne.

WHEREAS, Article 68 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
authorizes the Governor to appoint any number of notaries
public, thereby rendering this section unnecessary; there-
fore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 240 of Article 20 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Somerset County",
sub-title "Notary Public", be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.

Approved April 30, 1943.

CHAPTER 938.
(Senate Bill 581)

AN ACT to repeal Section 243 of Article 20 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Somerset County", sub-title "Out-Pensioners", said sec-
tion relating to the payment of pensions to certain in-
digent persons in Somerset County.

WHEREAS, under the general old age assistance law, the
provisions of this section are no longer necessary; there-
fore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 243 of Article 20 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Somerset County'"
sub-title "Out-Pensioners", be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.

Approved April 30, 1943.
