CHAPTER 916.
(Senate Bill 553)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 15 to 17, inclusive, of Article
20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Somerset County'', sub-title "Appren-
tices", said Sections relating to the binding out of ap-
prentices by the justices of the peace in Somerset County.

WHEREAS, The provisions of these sections have been
superseded by State-wide laws; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 15 to 17, inclusive, of Article 20 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Somerset County", sub-title "Apprentices", be and they
are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 917.
(Senate Bill 555)

AN ACT to repeal Section 38 of Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Prince George's County", sub-title "Bills of Exchange
and Promissory Notes", said section making Saturday
a legal half-holiday.

WHEREAS, Section 11 of Article 13 of the State Code
makes Saturday a legal half-holiday throughout the State,
with one or two exceptions, thereby making the above-
mentioned section unnecessary; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly o j Maryland,
That Section 38 of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Prince George's
County", sub-title "Bills of Exchange and Promissory
Notes", be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.
