(j) This section shall apply to the first, second, third,
fourth, fifth, seventh, and eighth districts of Anne Arun-
del County only.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That each person
issued a license of any class by the Board of License Com-
missioners for Anne Arundel County (except as provided
in sub-section (b) on or before May 1, 1943, for the license
year beginning May 1, 1943, shall, upon payment of the fee
as provided for in sub-section (d) and without further
application other than a request to the Board of License
Commissioners for Anne Arundel County, for the issuance
thereof, be issued a "Special Sunday License" for the li-
cense year beginning May 1, 1943.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That a new section
be and the same is hereby added to Article 2B of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Alcoholic Beverages" to be under a new sub-title "Revo-
cations and Suspensions—Alternative Procedure", said
new section to be known as Section 58A and to follow im-
mediately after Section 58 of said Article, and to read as
follows:

58A. Upon a finding by the Board of License Commis-
sioners for Anne Arundel County, after a hearing, that
any licensee or that the operation of any licensed premises,
operating under a license issued by said Board, has or is
violating any provision of Section 57 of this Article or any
other provision thereof, for the violation of which provi-
sion licenses may or must be revoked or suspended, the
said Board, may, in lieu of ordering such revocation
or suspension of said license, order and direct the
licensee to exchange his license for a "lesser" or
"more restricted" license, (a "lesser" or "more
restricted" license shall be deemed to be a license
under which the sale of alcoholic beverages of a lower
alcoholic content, or of a more limited kind, only may
be sold, than were sold under the license ordered trans-
ferred, or shall be deemed to be a license having fewer
privileges, or one containing more or greater restrictions,
than were permitted to be exercised under the license or-
dered transferred) and the said Board is hereby vested
with full power and authority to determine within its own
discretion, if any license shall be suspended or revoked for
the violation of any of the provisions of Section 57 of this
Article or any other provision thereof, for the violation of
which provision licenses must be suspended or revoked,
