i552 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 908

in lieu thereof a charter for the Town of Aberdeen,
Harford County, Maryland, said new charter to embrace
Sections 1 to 61 inclusive of Article 13 of said Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, and Higinbotham's 1943
Code of Harford County, title "Harford County", sub-
title "Aberdeen"; said new sections defining the boun-
daries of said Town, providing for its Government by
the Board of Town Commissioners; and defining the
rights, powers, duties and obligations of said Town and
said Commissioners, including the right to pass ordi-
nances, levy and collect taxes, incur obligations, maintain
a police force, fire department, water and sewerage sys-
tems, streets, alleys, etc., and to employ the necessary
personnel to put into effect the provisions of said char-
ter; this last clause being descriptive of some of the
powers, but not in limitation of the other rights and
powers granted under said charter; and constituting
said Commissioners as a Taxicab Bureau.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the charter of the Town of Aberdeen, as the same is
now codified as Sections 1 to 62 inclusive of Article 13 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, and as codified
as Sections 1 to 65 inclusive of Higinbotham's 1943 Code
of Harford County, title "Harford County", sub-title "Aber-
deen", be and the same are hereby repealed, and in lieu
thereof there is enacted a new charter for the Town of
Aberdeen, said new charter to constitute Sections 1 to 61
inclusive of Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, and Higinbotham's 1943 Code of Harford
County, sub-title "Aberdeen", and to read as follows:

1. The citizens residing within the corporate limits of
that part of Harford County, Maryland, prescribed in the
next succeeding section, above the age of twenty-one (21)
years, who are assessed with at least One Hundred dollars
($100. 00) worth of real or personal property on the tax
books of the Town of Aberdeen are hereby made a body
politic and corporate by the name and style of "The Com-
missioners of Aberdeen", and by that name shall have
perpetual existence and succession, sue and be sued, plead
and be impleaded in any Court of Law or Equity, have and
use a common seal, purchase and hold real and personal
property and sell and dispose of the same.

2. The corporate limits of the Town of Aberdeen, Har-
ford County, shall be contained within the following metes
and bounds, to wit:
