the Court of Appeals. Nothing in this section shall relieve
any officer, board or commission of any legal requirement
as to the publication or other notice of the adoption or pro-
mulgation of such rules and regulations.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 71B
of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), as said section was added to said Code by Chap-
ter 919 of the Laws of 1941, be, and it is hereby repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 873.
(Senate Bill 496)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
244 of Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Charles County", sub-
title "Sheriff", as said section was amended by Chapter
161 of the Acts of 1935, increasing the compensation to
be paid to the Sheriff for the keeping of prisoners in
Charles County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 244 of Article 9 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Charles County", sub-title "Sheriff", as said section was
amended by Chapter 161 of the Acts of 1935, be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
244. The said sheriff of Charles County shall receive
for the keeping of prisoners committed to his custody, and
for their victuals and support, the sum of sixty
cents per head per day, and the County Commissioners
shall in no case allow a greater compensation.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.
