SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
and Charter of Baltimore City (1938. Edition), title "Bal-
timore City", sub-title "Examining Engineers", said new
section to be known as Section 517A, to follow immediate-
ly after Section 517 of said Article, and to read as follows:
517A. The said Board is hereby authorized and em-
powered to issue, during the State of war now existing
between the United States of America and certain foreign
powers and for a period of three months thereafter, special
certificates which shall permit the holders of such special
certificates to operate plants of machinery which are oper-
ated by steam at a pressure not exceeding fifteen pounds
and which said plants of machinery are located in build-
ings used or occupied as public schools in Baltimore City.
Such special certificates shall be issued by the said Board
upon the same terms and conditions pertaining to examina-
tion, payment of fees, term of certificate and renewal there-
of, the number of plants which the holder of any such spe-
cial certificate may have charge of at any one time and sub-
stitutes as are set forth in Section 517 of this Article. Such
certificates shall have stamped or printed on the face there-
of the words "SPECIAL CERTIFICATE".
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 471-A of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Prince George's
County", sub-title "Garbage", as said section was enacted
by Chapter 746 of the Acts of 1941, authorizing the
feeding of garbage to hogs in Prince George's County
under certain conditions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Prince George's County", sub-title "Garbage", as said sec-
