Beach, and being passed by a nay and yea vote supported
by three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 746.
(Senate Bill 402)

AN ACT authorizing the County Board of Education of
Garrett County to expend certain sums of money for
the construction and furnishing of a school at North
Glade, Garrett County, for other capital outlay purposes
and for the repair of other schools in said County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Board of Education of Garrett
County be and it is hereby authorized and directed to divert
the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10, 000) levied pursuant
to Chapter 356 of the Acts of 1939 for the construction of a
school at McHenry, Garrett County, and to expend said sum,
or such part thereof as the said Board of Education may
deem appropriate, for the construction and furnishing
of the school at North Glade, Garrett County, authorized
by Chapter 356 of the Acts of 1939, such amount to be in
addition to the sum of Eight Thousand Dollars ($8, 000)
authorized by the said Chapter 356 to be levied for such
purpose. Provided, however, that the total cost of said
school building shall not exceed Eighteen Thousand Dol-
lars ($18, 000), and that in the construction of said build-
ing, the provisions of Sections 2 and 3 of the said Chapter
356 shall be complied with.

The said Board of Education is hereby authorized and
directed to expend such portion of the said Ten Thousand
Dollars ($10, 000) as is not used for the purpose specified
above, for other capital outlay purposes or for the repair
of such other school buildings in Garrett County as the
Board of Education may designate.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.
