ordinance pursuant thereto, shall have the right to appeal,
except as otherwise herein specifically provided, within
thirty days thereafter to the Circuit Court of Calvert
County, and shall have the right, if he so elect, to a trial
by jury, upon giving ample security for the payment of
such fine, penalty, forfeiture and costs as may be adjudged
against him in said Circuit Court; provided that when any
fine is collected because of the violation of any ordinance
of Chesapeake Beach, it shall be forthwith transmitted by
the officer collecting the same to the Treasurer of Chesa-
peake Beach.

63. All ordinances of the Council shall take effect from
the date of passage unless otherwise provided therein.
The Clerk shall post a copy of each ordinance at the Town
Hall and all ordinances shall be open to public inspection.

64. All elections conducted under the provisions of this
sub-title shall be subject to the provisions of the Corrupt
Practices Act of Maryland, in so far as the same may be
applicable to the provisions of this sub-title.

65. The fee in all the streets, alleys, lanes, parks and
public grounds in the town of Chesapeake Beach, or such
portion thereof as at the date of the passage of this Act
may be the property of the Chesapeake Beach Railway
Company, shall be and remain in said company; subject,
however, at all times, for municipal and police purposes,
to the control of the Council of Chesapeake Beach, who may
establish, maintain, alter and repair the same, and make
such improvements thereof and thereon as may from time
to time become necessary and as herein provided.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted^ That all ordinances,
resolutions, actions, contracts, permits and other official
acts passed, made, issued or done by the Commissioners
of Chesapeake Beach shall remain in force and have the
same legal effect as when enacted, passed, issued or done
and all officers and agents of the town heretofore elected
or appointed shall retain office for the terms to which they
were respectively elected or appointed, notwithstanding the
passage of this Act, the intention of this Act being not to
repeal or interfere with any provision of any of the ordi-
nances, resolutions, contracts, permits or actions heretofore
passed, issued or done, unless they be in conflict herewith.

• SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is an
emergency law necessary for the immediate personification
of health and general welfare of the town of Chesapeake
