use or benefit of any such officer or member. Provided fur-
ther that before any such aforesaid benefit shall be conducted,
that the First District Ambulance and Rescue Company shall
notify the Chief of Police of Anne Arundel County, the
Sheriff of Anne Arundel County, and the Officer in charge of
the Colesville Sub-Station of the Anne Arundel County Police
Department, by mail, of the time, place and nature of such
benefit.
SEC. 2. Nothing in Sections 288 to 305, inclusive, of Article
27 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland (1939
Edition), shall be construed to make it unlawful to conduct
fairs, carnivals, games of skill, to dispose of merchandise and
other things of value by auction or voting, or by such mechani-
cal means as are commonly designated as paddle wheels, wheels
of fortune, bingo, or by other mechanical means and similar
methods, conducted in accordance with the provisions hereof,
and Sections 288 to 305 of Article 27 of the Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland (1939 Edition), be and they are
hereby repealed in so far as they shall conflict herewith.
SEC. 3. And be It further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 27 to 64, inclusive, of Article 5
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Calvert County", sub-title "Chesapeake
Beach", and all amendments thereof, and to enact in lieu
thereof 28 new sections to be known as Section 27 to 54,
inclusive, and to follow immediately after Section 26
of said Article, revising the Charter of the town of
Chesapeake Beach in Calvert County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 27 to 64, inclusive, of Article 5
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Calvert County", sub-title "Chesapeake Beach",
and all amendments thereof, be and they are hereby re-
pealed and that 28 new sections be and they are hereby
enacted in lieu thereof, said new sections to be known as
