Sections 27 to 54, inclusive, to follow immediately after
Section 26 of said Article, and to read as follows:
27. The inhabitants of Chesapeake Beach, in Calvert
County, Maryland, are hereby incorporated and created a
corporate body under the name and by the style of Chesa-
peake Beach, and by that name may sue and be sued and
have and use a common seal, and have perpetual succession.
28. The boundary limits of said Town of Chesapeake
Beach shall be as follows: Beginning for the same at a
point on the shore line and waters of the Chesapeake Bay
at the southernmost limit of the municipality of North
Beach, said point of beginning being at the original be-
ginning of the Town of Chesapeake Beach as described in
Chapter 120 of the Acts of the General Assembly of the
January Session 1900, Paragraph 2 of Section 2 thereof,
and running thence and binding on the first and second
lines as described in said description due West 5148 feet,
thence due South 5148 feet, thence continuing due South
to the outlines of the subdivision of Chesapeake Beach,
as per Plat No. 1 thereof recorded among the Land Rec-
ords of Calvert County in Liber T. B. T. No. 5, folio 571,
and thence running so as to include all the land embraced
in said Plat No. 1 of Chesapeake Beach to the southern
limits thereof, being contiguous with the northern boun-
dary of the sub-division known as Randle Cliff Beach,
thence easterly binding on the northern boundary of Ran-
dle Cliff Beach and the southern boundary of Chesapeake
Beach, as shown on said Plat No. 1, to the Chesapeake Bay,
and thence northerly along the shore line and waters of
the Chesapeake Bay to the place of beginning, together
with any extensions, structures or improvements extending
therefrom into the waters of Chesapeake Bay.
29. On the first Tuesday following the first Monday in
November 1944, and biennially thereafter, the qualified
electors of Chesapeake Beach shall vote for a Mayor and
six councilmen, who shall each have the qualifications requ-
isite for an elector of said town, and who shall own prop-
erty to the value of $500. 00 in said town, and said Mayor
and councilmen shall together constitute the Council of the
said town; that an elector of said town shall be any citizen
of the United States of the age of twenty-one years or over
who is a legal voter in the State of Maryland, and who on
the day of election is and for a period of one year prior to
registration has been a resident of Chesapeake Beach, Md.
30. On or before the first day of July, 1944, and each
election year, thereafter, the Mayor and Councilmen shall
