Sec. 140. The judges of the Circuit Court for Mont-
gomery County are hereby authorized and directed to ap-
point a Court Stenographer, who shall be a sworn officer
of said Court, and said stenographer so appointed shall
be paid the sum of not less than one hundred and forty
and not more than one hundred and seventy-five dollars
per month, by the County Commissioners of Montgomery
County, for each month that he performs the duties of his
position. The salary of said stenographer to be fixed
within the above limits by an order of the Judges of said
Court.
Sec. 141. The stenographer so appointed shall be
skilled in the practice of his art and shall hold his position
during the pleasure of the judges of said Court; it shall be
his duty to perform such stenographic and typing work,
connected with the business of said Court, at law and
in Equity, as he may be directed to perform by the judge
or judges of said Court. This Act shall not be construed
as preventing the same person from holding the positions
of "Court Stenographer" and Examiner in Chancery at
the same time.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
217 of Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, being Section 194 of Higinbothom's Code of
Harford County, title "Harford County", sub-title
"County Commissioners", to authorize and direct the
County Commissioners to meet at their office in Bel Air
at least one day in each week.
