Suckers, Catfish, Carp, Eels,
and Gudgeons................. February 15 to November 30.
All other species of Game or
Fresh Water Fish............ July 1 to November 30.
(which shall include fall fish, bluegill, all species of sunfish,
perch, Crappie, rock bass or goggle-eye bass, and all other
species of bream and bass. )
TROUT.
96. It shall be unlawful for any person to fish for or
catch any fish of any species in any of the non-tidal waters or
streams which have been stocked with trout by the Game and
Inland Fish Commission or Federal Government between the
hours of 8: 00 P. M. and 5: 30 A. M. during the open season for
taking trout.
It shall be unlawful for any person to take or catch fish of
any species from or in the Savage River or the Little Savage
River and their tributaries in Garrett County and Evitt's
Creek in Allegany County except during the trout season.
White shad, hickory shad, and herring may be caught or
taken only with rod, hook and line using bait or lure except as
otherwise provided.
FURTHER RESTRICTIONS IN NON-TIDAL WATERS.
97. It shall be lawful to fish with rod, hook and line when
in the immediate control of the angler, provided, however, no
person shall use or have in control more than two rods and
two lines and not more than two hooks to any one line unless
otherwise provided artificial lures or plugs with multiple or
gang hooks are considered one unit.
It shall be lawful to use a slat basket commonly known as
the Chesapeake Bay Eel Pot for the purpose of catching eels.
It shall be lawful during the open season for any resident of
this State who has secured a resident anglers license to fish by
the use of a dip net in the waters of the Susquehanna River in
Cecil and Harford Counties and in the waters of Allegany,
Washington, and Frederick Counties; provided, however, it
shall be unlawful for any person to use a dip net in any of the
waters of this State which have been stocked with trout.
It shall be lawful in the waters of Washington and Frederick
Counties for any resident of this State who has secured a
resident anglers license to use bush-bobs or bank-poles (not
exceeding a total of twenty-five (25) in all and not exceeding
one (1) hook to a pole or bob). It shall be unlawful to use
bush-bobs or bank-poles on any stream stocked with trout.
