It shall be unlawful to use any bush-bob or bank-pole which
has been baited with scale bait or live bait to catch suckers,
catfish, carp, eels, and gudgeons.
No person shall use a bush-bob or bank-pole except between
the hours of sunset and sunrise.
It shall be lawful in the waters of the Potomac River in
Montgomery County for any resident of this State who has
secured a resident anglers license to catch shad by use of a dip
net between April 1 and June 10, both dates inclusive.
CREEL AND POSSESSION LIMITS.
98. It shall be unlawful for any person to take, catch, kill,
or have in possession more than 10 of large or small mouth
bass; brown, brook, or rainbow trout; shad, including hickory
shad (herring); Susquehanna salmon (wall-eyed pike or
pickerel), or striped bass (rock) in any one day.
Any of the above species of fish caught and returned to the
waters shall not be considered for the purpose of this Section
as having been either taken, caught, or had in possession.
It shall be unlawful to take, catch, or kill any species of fish
from any stream or non-tidal waters which have been stocked
with trout except during the legal open season for the taking
of trout. Regardless of the manner in which Catoctin Creek in
Frederick County is stocked with trout, it shall not be con-
sidered a trout stream from its mouth to Ellerton Bridge and
fishing for bass shall be allowed during the regular bass season
in this stream from its mouth to Ellerton Bridge.
No person shall take, catch, or kill, sell, offer to buy or sell,
or expose for sale, or have in possession any of the following
species of fish caught in non-tidal waters of this State of any
size less than herein provided:
Large and Small Mouth Bass............. 10 inches
Susquehanna Salmon (Pike or Pickerel)... 14 "
Brook, Brown or Rainbow Trout.......... 7 "
Striped Bass or Rock..................... 16 "
White or Yellow Perch................... 8 "
Catfish.................................. 8 «
GIGS AND BAIT FISH NETS.
99. It shall be unlawful for any person to use or attempt
to use a gig or gig iron or a light or nets or seines, fish pots,
or other fishing rigs other than permitted in this Article. It
shall be deemed prima facie evidence that same was in posses-
sion for the purpose of violating this Section.
It shall be lawful to use a dip or landing net or seine not
over six feet in length nor greater than three feet in depth
for the taking of bait fish only.
