Ordered, That the monies appropriated for the expenses of this
special session, as set forth in the appropriation bill, be paid upon
the joint order of the President of the Senate and the Speaker of
the House of Delegates.

MESSAGE FROM THE SENATE

By Senator Byrnes:

SENATE OF MARYLAND

ANNAPOLIS, MD., November 10, 1950.

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message notifying the Senate of the
organization of your Honorable Body, and proposing a joint com-
mittee of five members, three to be appointed on the part of the
House and two on the part of the Senate, to wait upon the Gov-
ernor and inform him that the General Assembly is now prepared
to receive any communications which he may desire to make.

We concur in your proposal for the appointment of a joint com-
mittee of five members and have appointed on the part of the
Senate, Senators Della and Phoebus.

We also desire to inform you that the Senate is organized, the
Honorable L. Harold Sothoron having been elected President and
C. Andrew Shaab having been elected Secretary of the Senate.
