Supplement, as amended), title 'Revenue and Taxes', sub-title 'Re-
tail Sales Tax Act', and to add a new sub-section to Section 261 of
said Act to be known as Sub-section (s), to follow immediately
after Sub-section (r) thereof, exempting from the operation of said
Act all sales where the purchase price is less than fifty-one cents
(51c) and certain other sales.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.

House Bill No. 2—By the Speaker:

A Bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 309 of Artile 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), title 'Revenue and Taxes', sub-title 'Maryland Use
Tax', heading 'Imposition of Tax', exempting from the operation
of said Act all sales where the purchase price is less than fifty-one
cents (51c)."

Ways and Means.

House Bill No. 3—By Mr. McKewen and Mrs. Murphy:

A Bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 532 (a) and to repeal Sub-sections (44), (45), (46) and (47)
of Section 533 of the Baltimore City Charter and Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1949 Edition), title 'Baltimore City', sub-title
'Police Commissioner', eliminating the provisions relating to the
Traffic Bureau in the Police Department, and correcting an
omission."

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.

House Bill No. 4—By Mr. Luber:

A Bill entitled "An Act to add a new section to Article 33 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title 'Elections',
sub- title 'Registration', said new section to be known as Section
26A and to follow immediately after Section 26 of said Article and
sub-title, relating to the use of a transfer card or other evidence of
the continued presence of a registrant within the confines of Balti-
more City for the registration of such person under certain cir-
cumstances."

Ways and Means.
