986 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 573

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 290 to 292, inclusive, of Article
24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Worcester County", sub-title "Sheep", be
and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1st, 1941.

Approved April 28, 1941.

CHAPTER 572.

(Senate Bill 473)

AN ACT to repeal Section 69 of Article 24 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Worcester County", sub-title "Cruelty to Animals".

WHEREAS, The provisions of this section are no longer
in effect, having been superseded by general State law;
therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 69 of Article 24 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Worcester County", sub-title "Cruelty to Animals", be and
it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1st, 1941.

Approved April 28, 1941.

CHAPTER 573.

(Senate Bill 474)

AN ACT to add two new sections to Article 24 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Worcester County", sub-title "Ocean City", to be
known as Sections 135A and 135B, and to follow imme-
diately after Section 135 of said Article, requiring can-
didates in town elections to file a statement of their can-
didacy with the City Clerk and providing for an official
ballot for such elections.
