($1, 000) or any multiple thereof, with coupons attached
thereto for the payment of interest thereon, the said interest
to be payable on the first day of January and the first day
of July in each and every year until all of said bonds shall
have matured and been paid. The said bonds shall be dated
January 1st, 1941, shall be signed by the President of the
County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County and coun-
tersigned by the County Treasurer of said County, with the
seal of said County affixed thereto; the coupons shall be
signed by the County Treasurer of Queen Anne's County or
a facsimile of his signature shall be printed, engraved or
written thereon, and said bonds shall bear interest from the
date thereof at a rate not to exceed two per centum (2%)
per annum and shall be exempt from State, County and
municipal taxation.
Said bonds shall be so issued that Twelve Thousand Dol-
lars ($12, 000) thereof shall mature and be payable on Janu-
ary 1st each year, beginning with January 1st, 1944, until
all of said bonds shall mature and be paid.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Queen Anne's County shall advertise the said
bonds in the two newspapers published in Queen Anne's
County and in at least two of the daily newspapers pub-
lished in Baltimore City, inviting sealed proposals for the
purchase of said bonds or any part thereof, with the privi-
lege to the said County Commissioners of Queen Anne's
County to reject any and all bids, the said advertisements
to be for such length of time as to said County Commis-
sioners may seem adequate.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the proceeds
arising from the sale of said bonds shall be used for the
following purposes:
(1) For the payment of the cost of engraving or
printing said bonds, the cost of advertising and any other
expenses incidental to the issuance of said bonds; and
(2) For paying for the rebuilding of and additional
construction on the Centreville High School building and
for constructing a new high school building at Sudlersville.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the present
Building Committee appointed by the School Board for
the Sudlersville High School shall have the power and
authority to provide for the construction of a new high
school at Sudlersville and shall have the power to enter into
any contract or contracts for same as, in the discretion
of said Building Committee, may seem to be to the best pub-
lic interest, with full power to employ and pay out of the
