to the qualified voters of the town at some regular election
for the election of councilmen of said town; and before
any such ordinance shall be submitted to the qualified
voters of the town, at least four weeks' public notice shall
be given, by publication in one or more newspapers of the
town, of an intention to submit said ordinance to the quali-
fied voters of the town; and said notice shall set forth the
ordinance in full, and the mode and manner of payment
proposed; and no ordinance for the purchase of real estate
shall be of any force or validity unless it shall receive a
majority of all the votes cast at such election.
The Mayor and Council of Williamsport may also dispose
of any property (by sale or otherwise) when they deem
it no longer necessary or desirable for municipal purposes.
SEC. 2, And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 68.
(Senate Bill 206)
AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commission-
ers of Queen Anne's County to borrow upon the faith
and credit of Queen Anne's County One Hundred and
Eighty Thousand Dollars ($180, 000), and to issue cou-
pon bonds therefor, the proceeds thereof to be used for
the rebuilding and additional construction of the Cen-
treville High School and for the construction of a new
high school at Sudlersville, and to provide for the levy-
ing of taxes for the payment of the interest on and prin-
cipal of said bonds.
SECTION 1- Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That, for the purpose of rebuilding and provid-
ing additional construction for the Centreville High School
building and for the construction of a new high school
building at Sudlersville in Queen Anne's County, the County
Commissioners of Queen Anne's County are hereby au-
thorized and directed to borrow on the faith and credit of
Queen Anne's County the sum of One Hundred and Eighty
Thousand Dollars ($180, 000), and to issue coupon bonds
therefor.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said bonds
shall be issued in denominations of One Thousand Dollars
