of Maryland in accordance with Section 812 of Article 27
of the United States Annotated Code.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1941.

(Senate Bill 322)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 152 to 156, inclusive of Article
15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Kent County", subtitle "County Treas-
urer", and to enact in lieu thereof thirty-one new sections
to be known as Sections 152 to 156Z, inclusive, of said
Article, providing for the election of the County Treas-
urer for Kent County, fixing his term of office, compen-
sation, penalty of bond and defining his duties in the
collection of State, County and Municipal taxes in Kent
County and providing also for the appointment of dep-
uty treasurers and prescribing their duties and compen-
sations.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 152 to 156, inclusive, of Article
15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Kent County", sub-title "County Treas-
urer", be and the same are hereby repealed and that thirty-
one new sections be and they are hereby enacted in lieu
thereof, said new sections to be known as Sections 152 to
156Z, inclusive, of said Article and to read as follows:
152. At the General Election of Delegates to be held
on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November, 1942,
and every four years thereafter there shall be elected a
County Treasurer for Kent County by the qualified voters
of said County, who shall hold his office for the term of
four years from the first day of January following and
until a successor is elected and qualified, except that the
Treasurer elected in 1942 shall serve from June 1, 1943,
until January 1, 1947.
Provided, further, that nothing in this Section or any
law heretofore passed shall prohibit any County Treasurer
for Kent County from being eligible for any consecutive
term or any additional terms in said office.
