an official clerk who shall be a person well qualified in the
vocation of double-entry bookkeeping, and to have the fiscal
records and accounts of said clerk, together with those of
the Treasurer and Tax Collector of said town, audited
annually by a certified public accountant.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 57.

(Senate Bill 107)

AN ACT to repeal Section 345 of Article 7 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Carroll County", sub-title "Spectacles and Eyeglasses",
said section relating to licenses for the sale of spectacles
and eyeglasses.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 345 of Article 7 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Car-
roll County", sub-title "Spectacles and Eyeglasses", be and
it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1941.

Approved April 15, 1941.

CHAPTER 58.
(Senate Bill 108)

AN ACT to repeal Section 44 of Article 7 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Carroll County", sub-title "County Commissioners",
said section authorizing the County Commissioners to
appoint a keeper of standard weights and measures.
