CHAPTER 55.
(Senate Bill 105)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 347-349, inclusive, of Article 7
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Carroll County", sub-title "Stone Mills",
said sections relating to mills for grinding flint or other
stone.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 347-349, inclusive, of Article 7 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Carroll County", sub-title "Stone Mills", be and they
are hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 56.
(Senate Bill 106)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 7 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Carroll County", sub-title "Manchester", said new sec-
tion to be known as Section 164A and to follow imme-
diately after Section 164 of said Article, empowering,
authorizing and directing the Mayor and Common Coun-
cil of the Corporation of Manchester to appoint an offi-
cial clerk and to have his records, together with those of
the Treasurer and Tax Collector of said town, audited
annually by a certified public accountant.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Carroll County", sub-title "Man-
chester", said new section to be known as Section 164A,
to follow immediately after Section 164 of said Article, and
to read as follows:
164A. The Mayor and Common Council of the Cor-
poration of Manchester shall have power and is hereby
authorized and directed to appoint and employ annually
