CHAPTER 422.
(House Bill 324)
AN ACT to add two new sections to Article 11 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Frederick County", sub-title "Schools", said new sections
to be known as Section 718A and Section 718B, and to fol-
low immediately after Section 718 of said Article, author-
izing the Board of Education of Frederick County to provide
certain transportation for children attending certain schools
in Frederick County and authorizing the County Commis-
sioners of Frederick County to appropriate certain funds
not in excess o£ $5, 000 annually, and to pay the same to the
Board of Education of Frederick County to be used by the
Board for the purpose aforesaid.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That two new sections be and they are hereby added to
Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Frederick County', sub-title "Schools", said
new sections to be known as Section 718A and Section 718B,
to follow immediately after Section 718 of said Article, and
to read as follows:
718A. All children, who attend parochial schools in
Frederick County, which schools do not receive State aid, and
who reside on or along or near to the public highways of
Frederick County, on which there is now or hereafter operated
a public school bus or conveyance provided by the Board of
Education of Frederick County for transporting children to
and from the public schools of Frederick County, shall be
entitled to transportation on the said buses or conveyances,
if facilities therefor are available and such transportation
may be provided for them by the said Board of Education
of Frederick County, subject to the conditions hereinafter
set forth, from, a point on the said public highways
nearest or most accessible to their respective homes to a point
on said public highways nearest or most accessible to their
respective schools, without changing the routes of said buses
or conveyances now or hereafter established by said Board of
Education of Frederick County for transporting children to
and from the public schools. Such transportation may be
provided by the Board of Education, as aforesaid, for all the
children attending schools described herein, upon the same
terms and conditions as now or as may be hereafter established
by the Board of Education of Frederick County for children
attending public schools.
