Mount Savage, Maryland, the sum of $500. 00; to the Vol-
unteer Fire Company of Barton, Barton, Maryland, the
sum of $500. 00; to the Luke Fire Company, Inc., the sum
of $500. 00; to the LaVale Volunteer Fire Company, Inc.,
the sum of $500. 00; to the Cresaptown Fire Department,
the sum of $500. 00; to the Borden Shaft Volunteer Fire
Company No. 1, the sum of $400. 00; to the McCoole Fire
Company, the sum of $400. 00; and to the Corriganville
Fire Company the sum of $400. 00.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 393.
(Senate Bill 534)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
391 of Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Somerset County", sub-
title "State's Attorney", as said section was amended
by Chapter 377 of the Acts of 1933, to increase the
salary of the State's Attorney of Somerset County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 391 of Article 20 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Somerset County", sub-title "State's Attorney", as said
section was amended by Chapter 377 of the Acts of 1933,
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

391. On and after January 1, 1943, the State's Attor-
ney of said Somerset County in lieu of all fees of every
kind heretofore received by him, shall receive a salary of
two thousand dollars per annum, as full compensation for
his entire services as required of him by law or which
may hereafter be required of him by any law of this State;
and such salary shall be paid to him by the County Com-
missioners of said Somerset County in equal quarterly
installments the first day of January, April, July and
October in each and every year.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this
Act shall affect the salary of the present State's Attorney
