146. No person shall sell fresh eggs to a retailer, unless at
the time of delivery he shall furnish to such retailer an invoice
accurately designating the eggs sold as provided in Section 144
of this sub-title and/or as to size, as provided in Section 145.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 374.
(House Bill 406)
AN ACT to direct the County Commissioners of Montgomery
County to make certain payments to certain fire companies
in said county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by1 the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Montgomery County
are hereby directed to pay to any volunteer or paid fire company
or department in the county which meets the qualifications as
to equipment prescribed in Section 332 of the Montgomery
Code of Local Laws (1939 Edition), and which did not receive
payments pursuant to that section for the fiscal years ending
June 30th, 1940 and 1941, the sum of five hundred dollars
(1500. 00) for each piece of fire apparatus, equipped with a
pump or with chemical tanks and maintained by it in efficient
operating condition during said fiscal years, but not to exceed
fifteen hundred dollars ($1, 500. 00) for each of said fiscal years.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 1
of Article 1. 9 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Comptroller", relating to the time and
method of qualification by the Comptroller, and fixing his
salary from and after the third Monday of January, 1943.
