heading "Registration of Motor Vehicles and Operators",
said section to be known as Section 154A, to follow imme-
diately after Section 154 of said Article, relating to the use
of "Press" plates and markers on motor vehicles.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted <by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Licenses", sub-heading "Registration of Motor Vehicles and
Operators", said new section to be known as Section 154A, to
follow immediately after Section 154 of said Article and to
read as follows:

154A. No person may attach to any motor vehicle a plate
or marker bearing the word "Press", or any word or term of
similar import, unless

(a) he is a regular employee of a newspaper, and

(b) he has obtained such plate or marker from the Com-
missioner of Motor Vehicles.

The Commissioner of Motor Vehicles shall issue such plate
or marker to any person presenting satisfactory evidence that
he is qualified to obtain such plate or marker, upon payment
of a fee of $1. 00.

Any person found guilty of violating any provision of this
section shall be fined not more than $50. 00.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted,, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 373.
(House Bill 378)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Section 146
of Article 48 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Inspections", sub-title "Eggs", to require
persons selling eggs as fresh to furnish an invoice stating
fresh.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 146 of Article 48 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Inspections", sub-title
"Eggs", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
