the State or subdivision thereof, for the purpose of study,
such files, records, and reports as he has which relate to
traffic accidents or their causes; and the executive officers
of such agencies are directed to extend the same facilities
to the Statistical Bureau.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That if any Section
or part thereof of this sub-title is held invalid, such holding
shall not affect the validity of any other part or section of
this sub-title.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That any law or
part thereof inconsistent with this Act, be and it is here-
by repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1941.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
257B of Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Talbot County",
sub-title "Fire Companies", as said section was enacted
by Chapter 187 of the Acts of 1939.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 257B of Article 21 of the Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Talbot County", sub-title
"Fire Companies", as said section was enacted by Chap-
ter 187 of the Laws of 1939, be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:
257B. The County Commissioners of Talbot County
are hereby authorized and directed to appropriate annual-
ly the sum of Six Thousand Dollars ($6, 000. 00) for the
use and benefit of the organized and incorporated fire
companies of Talbot County and to levy on the taxable
basis of said County a tax sufficient to produce said Six
Thousand Dollars ($6, 000. 00). The amount thus levied
and appropriated shall be used for the purchase, improve-
ment, maintenance and operation of fire apparatus and
fire equipment for the said fire companies and the said
