41. The Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, the Chair-
man of the State Roads Commission, the Superintendent
of the State Police, the Police Commissioner for the City
of Baltimore, the Chief or executive officer of the several
county and municipal police departments, the Chairman
of the Commission heading the Department of Post Mor-
tem Examiners and the executive officer of every other
agency, of the State or of any subdivision thereof (except
the several courts) which is in any way interested in or
concerned with traffic accidents, shall report to the said
Statistical Bureau all such accidents of which he re-
ceives notice, within forty-eight (48) hours of the re-
ceipt of such notice. Such reports shall be made upon a
standard form to be supplied by the Superintendent of
State Police; except that a special form shall be sup-
plied for the Department of Post Mortem Examiners by
said Superintendent.
42. Said Statistical Bureau shall analyze such reports
and prepare statistical tables or charts based thereon and
shall summarize its findings each month in written re-
ports which shall be released to the press and also sent
to every reporting agency, and to any other agency of the
State or subdivision thereof which applies therefor. Said
monthly report of the Bureau shall include statistics
showing the number of traffic accidents resulting in
death, personal injury, or property damage, and the
causes of and circumstances surrounding such accidents.
43. All accident records and files, furniture, maps,
computing machines and other equipment now being used
by the Accident Prevention Bureau of the Maryland State:
Police shall be transferred to the Statistical Bureau and
shall become the property of said Bureau.
44. The Superintendent of State Police shall annually,
within thirty days following the close of the fiscal year
of the Statistical Bureau, make a full financial and oper-
ative report to the Governor, showing the activities of the
Bureau. The report shall describe and recommend such
measures as the Superintendent may deem helpful for the
more efficient administration of the Bureau and towards
the reduction of traffic collisions within the State. Upon
request of the Governor or upon his own initiative said
Superintendent shall also make special reports covering
the above subjects.
45. The Superintendent of State Police is directed to
make available to the executive officer of any agency of
