George's County Police force for a period exceeding one (1)
year, shall receive an increase of one hundred and eighty dol-
lars ($180. 00) per annum over and above the salary provided by law
for the position on the Prince George's County Police force to
which he is appointed and for the rank in which he is desig-
nated; provided, however, that nothing herein contained shall
in any way change the salary of probationary officers or such
members of the force who have not served on such force for a
period of one (1) year prior to the effective date of this Act,
but all of such officers shall receive the same salaries hereto-
fore provided by law until they become qualified for an increase
under the provisions hereof.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 335.
(Senate Bill 14)

AN ACT to add two new sections to Article 33 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Elections",
sub-title "Referendum", said new sections to follow imme-
diately after said sub-title, and to be known as Sections
315A and 315B, providing for the form and contents of
petitions filed under the provisions of Article XVI of the
State Constitution, and providing further for furnishing
the voters of the State the text of all referred laws.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That two new sections be and the same are hereby added
to Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edi-
tion), title "Elections", sub-title "Referendum", said new
sections to follow immediately after said sub-title, and to be
known as Sections 315A and 315B, and to read as follows:

315A. In every petition under the provisions of Article
XVI of the State Constitution, there shall be appended to the
signature of each signer his residence, occupation, the precinct
or district wherein he is registered as a voter, and his place of
business, and immediately below the signature of any such
signer there shall be. either printed or typed, the name of
such signer.

315B. Not later than thirty days prior to any election at
which laws are to be submitted to the voters under the pro-
