CHAPTER 324.
(House Bill 524)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2
of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-title
"Almshouse", and to repeal Sections 4, 5 and 6 of said
Article, increasing the amount which may be paid for the
support of inmates of the Almshouse and repealing the pro-
visions authorizing the commitment of vagrants, vagabonds,
etc., to the County Almshouse.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted 'by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 2 of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County",
subtitle "Almshouse", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
2. The County Commissioners may annually at their first
regular meeting in June, or as soon thereafter as practicable,
let said Almshouse and other property to such person as they
may deem fit, and the said Commissioners may, in their dis-
cretion, provide for the maintenance and support of such
paupers as may be inmates of said Almshouse, or those who
thereafter may be committed thereto, at a cost not exceeding
two hundred dollars each per annum.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 4, 5 and 6
of said Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-title
"Almshouse", be and they are hereby repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 67
of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-title "Elec-,
tions", increasing the salary of the Clerk to the Board of
Supervisors of Elections for St. Mary's County.
