99F. The Commissioners may also appoint such other
officers, including additional police officers, as may be neces-
sary to carry out the provisions of this Charter; the Commis-
sioners, in case of emergency, may appoint special police
officers for such periods, not exceeding thirty (30) days, as
they may deem necessary.
99G. The Commissioners shall allow the officers of the
Town such compensation for their services as may be deemed
reasonable, and may appoint the same person to perform the
duties of more than one office.
99H. The Commissioners and all other officers of the cor-
poration shall, before they enter upon the duties of their re-
spective offices, take the oath prescribed in Section 98 of this
Charter.
99-1. The Commissioners shall require the Treasurer to
give a corporate bond in the penalty of Ten Thousand Dollars
($10, 000. 00), f or the faithful performance of the duties of his
office, including the collection and accounting for all sums of
money due the Town of Bel Air. The Commissioners may also
require any of its other officers to give a corporate bond in the
amount they may deem necessary, conditioned for the faith-
ful performance of their duties. Said bonds shall be filed with
the said Commissioners and the premium thereon paid by the
said Town.
99J. The term of the Treasurer shall begin on the first day
of January and the term of the other officers shall begin on the
fifteenth day of May; and the Commissioners may fill any
vacancy caused by the death, resignation or removal from office
of any appointee.
100A. The Commissioners shall have power to pass all ordi-
nances necessary for the good government of the Town; to
prevent, remove, and abate or cause to be removed or abated,
all nuisances or obstructions in or upon the streets, sidewalks,
highways, alleys, drains, sewers or water courses, or in or
upon lot or lots adjacent thereto; to provide for imposing a
fine or fines upon a person or persons causing, creating or
maintaining any such nuisances or obstructions; to remove,
or cause to be removed, houses or other obstructions or objects
that may be dangerous to property, health or safety of per-
sons living therein or passing along or over the highways of
the Town, or residing in the neighborhood thereof; to make
regulations in regard to buildings and signs, or other struc-
tures to be erected in said Town, and to grant building per-
mits for the same; to establish the grades of the streets,
