CHAPTER 299.
(House Bill 356)

AN ACT authorizing the State of Maryland to transfer and
convey to the County Commissioners of Howard County in
fee simple a 30-foot right-of-way, from Rogers Avenue to the
entrance to the Hollofield Fire Tower, in Howard County.

WHEREAS, the State of Maryland has a 30-foot right-of-way
running from Rogers Avenue to the entrance to the Hollofield
Fire Tower, a distance of approximately one mile; and

WHEREAS, this right-of-way should be maintained for the
convenience of the public generally; and

WHEREAS, the County Commissioners of Howard County
are willing to maintain said right-of-way if title in fee simple
to same is conveyed to them; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of Public Works is hereby authorized to
transfer and convey to the County Commissioners of Howard
County, in fee simple the 30-foot- right-of-way which the State
has from Rogers Avenue to the entrance to the Hollofield
Fire Tower in said County, the title to said right-of-way hav-
ing been conveyed to the State of Maryland by Andrew J.
Hanson et al., as recorded in Liber B. M., Jr., 153, folio 378
and Liber B. M., Jr., 154, folio 396; by Emma K. Thompson
et al., as recorded in Liber B. M., Jr., 154, folio 393; by Mark
M. Moxley and wife, as recorded in Liber B. M., Jr., 154, folio
394; and Jas. R. Moxley et al., as recorded in Liber B. M., Jr.,
155, folio 1.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.
