missioners of Montgomery County are hereby authorized to
appropriate a sum not to exceed Three Thousand Dollars
($3, 000. 00) from the Fifth Suburban District Fund to apply
to the cost of said construction; any remaining cost thereof
shall be borne by the Trustees of the Silver Spring Library
Association, which said Trustees of the Silver Spring Library
Association are hereby specifically authorized to appropriate
such sums as may be agreed upon from the tax, not exceeding
Two Cents on each One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00) of valuation
now levied by the County Commissioners of Montgomery
County on all the assessable property in Precincts 1, 2, 5, 7
and 8 of the Thirteenth Election District under and by virtue
of Section 1039 of this Article, but before said construction,
the plans and cost thereof shall first be agreed upon in writing
by the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Com-
mission, the County Commissioners of Montgomery County
and Trustees of the Silver Spring Library Association.

The Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Com-
mission is hereby authorized and empowered to service and
maintain the said building as to light, heat, janitor service,
repairs, and/or any other expenses which may be necessary
for the proper and reasonable operation of said building,
one-half of the cost of said maintenance to be paid by the
County Commissioners of Montgomery County from the Fifth
Suburban District Fund and one-half of the cost thereof to be
paid by the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning
Commission from its general maintenance fund.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 285.
(House Bill 341)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 16 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Mont-
gomery County", sub-title "County Commissioners and
Treasurer", to be under sub-heading "County Purchasing
Agent", said new section to be known as Section 190A and
to follow immediately after Section 190 of said Article,
authorizing the County Commissioners of Montgomery
County to appoint a County Purchasing Agent, defining Ms
duties and combining the duties of said office with those of
the Supervisor of School Property of Montgomery County.
