that Commissioners of Sharptown may pledge the credit of
the town of Sharptown and borrow on note or otherwise,
from time to time, as they may see fit, for general purposes,
a sum or sums not exceeding in the aggregate Five Thousand
Dollars ($5, 000. 00) at any one time, at an interest rate of
six per centum or less.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Wicomico County", sub-title "Sharptown", to fol-
low immediately after Section 358 and to be known as Section
358 1/2, and to read as follows:
358 1/2. Commissioners of Sharptown are hereby authorized
to pledge the credit of the town of Sharptown and to borrow
on note or otherwise, from time to time, as they may see fit,
for general purposes, a sum or sums not exceeding in the
aggregate Five Thousand Dollars ($5, 000. 00) at any one time,
at an interest rate of six per centum or less.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths
of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 30.
(House Bill 115)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 23 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wi-
comico County", sub-title "Sharptown", said new Section to
be known as Section 384 1/2 and to follow immediately after
Section 384 of said Article, providing that charges at the
usual rates for the use of water and sanitary sewerage sys-
tems, or either of them, as determined by the Commissioners
of Sharptown, shall be a lien on the property supplied with
such water and sewerage system benefits until such charges
are paid, and providing further that the same be collected
as other taxes of the municipal corporation.
