SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Wicomico County", sub-title "Sharptown", said
new section to be known as Section 384 1/2, to follow immedi-
ately after Section 384 of said Article, and to read as follows:
384%. All charges at the usual rates for the use of water
and sanitary sewerage systems, or either of them, as deter-
mined by the Commissioners of Sharptown, are hereby declared
to be and made liens upon the property supplied with such
water and sewerage system benefits until such charges are
paid, and the same shall be collected as other taxes of said
municipal corporation.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

(House Bill 21)
AN ACT to repeal Section 55 of Article 41 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Governor—Execu-
tive and Administrative Departments", sub-title "Governor",
said section relating to soldiers who served in the Mexican
War from the State of Maryland.
WHEREAS, this section is no longer applicable; therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 55 of Article 41 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Governor — Executive and
Administrative Departments", sub-title "Governor", be and it
is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June 1, 1941.
