CHAPTER 262.
(Senate Bill 360)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 22 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Washington County", sub-title "Boonsboro", said new
section to be known as Section 82B and to follow imme-
diately after Section 82A of said Article, to authorize
and empower the Mayor and Council of Boonsboro,
Washington County, Maryland, to levy annually a tax
sufficient to raise $200. 00 and to be paid to the Boons-
boro Volunteer Fire Company so long as it provides
adequate fire protection to the residents and property
within the corporate limits of said town.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Washington County", sub-title
"Boonsboro", said new section to be known as Section 82B
and to follow immediately after Section 82A of said Article
and to read as follows:
82B. The Mayor and Council is hereby authorized and
empowered to levy annually against the assessable prop-
erty of the town a tax sufficient to raise a sum not to
exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200. 00) to be paid to the
Boonsboro Volunteer Fire Company so long as it provides
adequate fire protection to the residents and property with-
in the corporate limits of said town, said money to be used
by the said Boonsboro Volunteer Fire Company for the ex-
clusive use in its maintenance, operation, care, and pur-
chase of equipment. Detailed statements of the expendi-
tures of such money shall be submitted to the Mayor and
Council of Boonsboro by the Boonsboro Volunteer Fire
Company in the months of January and July of each year.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1941.
