provements intersect such rights-of-way, the expense of
building such bridges or culverts shall be considered by
the viewers as an element of damage to the railroad com-
pany and shall be shown as such in their report.

79. For every day spent in the discharge of their duties
each of the members of the Board of Drainage Viewers
shall receive the sum of four dollars; each member of the
Board of Managers the sum of three dollars; the engineer
shall receive such reasonable compensation as shall be
agreed upon between the parties.

80. A majority of the landowners or the owners of a
majority of the land in a Public Drainage Association estab-
lished under this sub-title may petition the Board of
County Commissioners of the county in which such asso-
ciation was organized for the dissolution of the association.
Such petition must be accompanied by a complete list of
the creditors of the association, sworn to by the Board of
Managers.

The Board of County Commissioners shall thereupon set
a date for a public hearing upon the petition, and shall give
at least thirty days' previous notice by written or printed
notice mailed to each landowner included in the drainage
association and to each creditor, and by notice in a news-
paper or newspapers published in the county or counties
in which such drainage association is located, giving the
time, place and object of such meeting.

Following such public hearing the Board of County Com-
missioners may, in their discretion, deny or confirm the
petition for dissolution. In case of confirmation, the same
notices shall be given as for the hearing on the petition.
After payment of all bills, any balance in the county treas-
ury to the credit of the dissolved association shall be dis-
tributed to the landowners in proportion to their original
assessments.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all acts and
parts of acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act,
with the exception of Sections 85 to 111, inclusive, of Arti-
cle 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition),
are hereby repealed, but the validity of any drainage organ-
ization formed prior to June 1, 1941, shall not be affected
by the passage of this Act.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on June 1, 1941.
