Crisfield for the general public purposes of said munici-
pality.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That for the pur-
pose of meeting the principal and interest maturities of
the bonds hereby authorized, the Mayor and Council of
Crisfield shall, in the fiscal year in which said bonds are
issued and sold, and each fiscal year thereafter, levy a tax or
taxes upon all the assessable property within the corporate
limits of said municipality, without limit as to rate or
amount, sufficient in each such fiscal year to provide ade-
quate funds to meet the maturing interest payments on
said bonds and to provide for the payment of the princi-
pal thereof at maturity. Said tax or taxes shall be levied
and collected in the same manner as other municipal taxes
are levied and collected, and shall be treated in all respects
as to priority of lien and other rights as are the regular
taxes levied by the Mayor and Council of Crisfield for its
general municipal purposes. In order to provide for the
payment of said bonds hereby authorized at maturity, the
Mayor and Council of Crisfield may include in the taxes
hereby authorized an annual amount or amounts sufficient
to provide for the establishment of an adequate sinking
fund with which to meet said principal maturities. Said
sinking fund shall be managed and maintained by the
Mayor and Council of Crisfield and the funds therein con-
tained shall be invested in the manner prescribed by law.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That the issue of
Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25, 000. 00) aggregate par
amount of floating debt refunding bonds, issued pursuant
to the authority of Chapter 459 of the Act of 1922, and due
and payable on January 1, 1942, above referred to, and the
issue of Sixteen thousand dollars ($16, 000. 00) of refund-
ing bonds issued by the Mayor and Council of Crisfield
pursuant to the authority of Chapter 11 of the Acts of
1918, and due and payable May 1, 1942, also above re-
ferred to, being the bonds to be refunded by the issue of
bonds hereby authorized, are hereby declared to be the
valid and binding general obligations of the Mayor and
Council of Crisfield and are hereby ratified and confirmed
in all particulars as such obligations.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
