hereinbefore mentioned tract of land which was conveyed
from Mary El Engel to the State of Maryland, thence bind-
ing reversely on a part of said fourth line as now surveyed:
N 3°01'40" E 12. 01 feet to the place of beginning, contain-
ing 0. 09 acre of land more or less, and being a part or parts
of a tract of land described in a deed from Mary E. Engel
et al to the State of Maryland to the use of the University
of Maryland, dated April 25, 1934, and recorded among
the land records of Prince George's County, in Liber 405,
Folio 175.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 219.
(Senate Bill 248)
AN ACT to change the title of Article 18 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), from "Commission-
ers to Take Acknowledgments" to "Acknowledgments",
and to add thirteen new sections to said Article, to be
under new sub-title "Uniform Acknowledgments Act",
said new sections to be known as Sections 10 to 2, 2,
inclusive, and to follow immediately after Section 9 of
said Article, relating to acknowledgments of written
instruments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the title of Article 18 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition) be and it is hereby
changed from "Commissioners to Take Acknowledgments"
to "Acknowledgments"; and that thirteen new sections be
and they are hereby added to said Article 18, to be under
new sub-title "Uniform Acknowledgments Act", said new
sections to be known as Sections 10 to 22, inclusive, to
follow immediately after Section 9 of said Article, and,
to read as follows:
UNIFORM ACKNOWLEDGMENTS ACT
10. Acknowledgment of Instruments. Any instrument
may be acknowledged in the matter and form now pro-
vided by the laws of this State, or as provided by this sub-
title.
