Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Carroll County", sub-
title "County Commissioners", be, and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
43. The County Commissioners of Carroll County shall
annually levy and collect from the assessable property in
Carroll County, as other county taxes are levied and col-
lected the sum of ten thousand dollars, which sum of money
the said County Commissioners shall distribute and pay to
the several volunteer fire companies in said county for the
support, maintenance, equipment and operation of said volun-
teer fire companies for the purpose of suppressing fires in said
county; and that said sum of money shall be proportioned and
distributed among said volunteer fire companies upon the
recommendation of the executive committee of the Carroll
County Volunteer Firemen's Association.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

(House Bill 307)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 42
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Regulations
and Restrictions", to make unlawful the sale of any alcoholic
beverages on Sunday in Worcester County or the delivery,
giving away or other disposition of alcoholic beverages by
any licensed dealer on Sunday in Talbot or Worcester
Counties, and prescribing penalties for the violation thereof.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 42 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-
title "Regulations and Restrictions", be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
42. General Regulations, Hotels, Restaurants and Clubs
—Restrictions After Midnight and on Sunday. No retail
dealer shall be permitted to sell any alcoholic beverages at a
bar or counter at any time between the hours of midnight and
6 A. M. or at any bar or counter on Sunday. In Talbot
and Worcester Counties, it shall be unlawful for anyone to
