Commissioners", increasing the salaries of the County Com-
missioners of Baltimore County as of December 1, 1942.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 124 of Article 3 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Baltimore County",
sub-title "County Commissioners", be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
124. There shall be three County Commissioners of Balti-
more County who shall hold office for the term of four years
and shall be eligible for re-election. Beginning December 1,
1942, they shall each receive an annual salary of Forty-two
Hundred Dollars, payable monthly by the Treasurer of said
County; and they are required to meet for the transaction of
public business, at their office at Towson on Tuesday, Wednes-
day, Thursday and Friday of each week, and as much oftener
as a proper discharge of their official duties may require; and
from the fifteenth day of September to the fifteenth day of
October, the said County Commissioners shall also sit on the
days above mentioned for the purpose of reviewing assessments
and making abatements. Said Board of County Commissioners
shall perform all the duties of the Highways Commission of
Baltimore County, and shall have all and singular the powers
and authority conferred upon the Highways Commission of
Baltimore County by Chapter 465 of the Acts of 1904 and the
several amendments and supplements thereto.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on and after December 1, 1942.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 43
of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Carroll County", sub-title "County
Commissioners", increasing the money to be levied by the
County Commissioners of Carroll County for volunteer fire
companies.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 43 of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local
