land, title "Harford County", sub-title "County Commis-
sioners", said amendment changing the compensation of the
said Commissioners from a per diem and mileage basis to a
salary of Sixteen Hundred ) f 1, 600. 00) Dollars per annum.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 212 of Article 13 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County", sub-title
"County Commissioners", be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

212. The Board of County Commissioners of Harford
County shall each receive Sixteen Hundred ($1, 600. 00) Dollars
per annum, payable in equal monthly installments, and the
said salary shall be in lieu of all other compensation whatso-
ever now allowed by law; except that each Commissioner may
receive mileage at the rate now allowed by law, not to exceed
One Hundred Dollars $100. 00) per annum. Provided, how-
ever, that the provisions of this Section shall not become
effective until the County Commissioners shall appoint a
County Roads Engineer under the provisions of Section 445
of Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland.

SEC. 2. And l>e It 'further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 909.
(House Bill 550)

AN ACT "to add a new section to Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title, "Crimes and Pun-
ishment", to be under a new sub-title known as "Perishable
Food Products", said new sub-title to follow Section 526 and
said new Section to be known as Section 526A; providing
that it shall be a misdemeanor to interfere with the lawful
production, transportation, delivery, acceptance or distribu-
tion of perishable food products in intra-state commerce.

(Vetoed. )
