SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 652 of Article 17 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's County, " sub-
title "Laurel", as the same were enacted by Chapter 431 of
the Acts of 1933, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments, to read as follows:
TREASURER
652. The Mayor shall on the fourth Monday in April, 1934,
and every two years thereafter, appoint one person as Treas-
urer of the said town, subject to the confirmation of the City
Council, who shall possess the same qualifications as those
required for Mayor, to serve for two years and until his suc-
cessor is appointed and qualified, whose duty it shall be to
keep an account of the receipts and disbursements of the
town in a well-bound book, to be provided by the Mayor and
City Council, and render an account thereof at each regular
meeting of the City Council. Such account shall include a
statement of each check issued by him, the name of the payee,
the amount, and the fund to which it is charged. The said
Treasurer shall qualify on or before the first Monday in May
succeeding his appointment, by filing a bond with some repu-
table bonding company as surety in such form and in such
amount as the Mayor and City Council shall prescribe and
approve.
He shall receive a salary of Four Hundred and Eighty Dol-
lars per annum.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June 1, 1941.

(House Bill 866)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
345, 346, 347, 362 and 363 of Article 56 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Licenses", sub-title
"Real Estate Brokers", relating to the disposition of the
receipts of the Real Estate Commission and relating to the
office of said Commission and to provision for the payment
of the expenses of said Commission in the State Budget,
and relating to the counties within which said sub-title
shall not apply.
