CHAPTER 882.
(Senate Bill 481)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 7 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Carroll County", sub-title "Mount Airy", and to Article
11 of said Code, title "Frederick County", sub-title
"Mount Airy", said new sections to be known as Sec-
tions 212A and 560A, respectively, and to follow imme-
diately after Sections 212 and 560, respectively, pre-
scribing a salary for the Mayor of Mount Airy.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added
to Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Carroll County", sub-title
"Mount Airy", and to Article 11 of the said Code, title
"Frederick County", sub-title "Mount Airy", said new sec-
tion to be known as Sections 212A and 560A, respectively,
to follow immediately after Sections 212 and 560, re-
spectively, and to read as follows:

212A. (560A. ) The Mayor of Mount Airy, for the
performance of his duties as set forth in this sub-title,
shall receive a total salary of five hundred dollars ($500. 00)
per annum and no other compensation or allowance what-
ever; said salary to be payable in equal monthly install-
ments.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this
Act shall affect the compensation of the present Mayor
of Mount Airy, but shall apply to the Mayor elected at the
regular biennial election in 1942 and thereafter.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1st, 1941.
