CHAPTER 880.

(Senate Bill 469)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 19 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St.
Mary's County", sub-title "County Commissioners", said
new section to be known as Section 59A, and to follow
immediately after Section 59 of said Article, authoriz-
ing the County Commissioners of St. Mary's County to
provide for the licensing of merchandise vending
machines and all other coin-operated machines or devices
and providing for a referendum thereon.

CHAPTER 881.

(Senate Bill 477)

AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 41 of Article
99 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition),
to be known as sub-section (e); providing that the ripar-
ian rights of owners, etc. on the waters of this State
shall not be available to the United States of America,
or any of its agencies, along the westerly shore of the
Chesapeake Bay and Swan Creek in Harford County,
between Spesutie Narrows and High Point, in Swan
Creek.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added
to Article 99, Section 41 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1939 Edition), to be known as sub-section (e), and
to read as follows:

41.

(e) This section shall not apply to the rights of riparian
owners on the waters of the westerly shore of the Ches-
apeake Bay and Swan Creek, lying between the northerly
end of Spesuti Narrows and High Point in Swan Creek.
Within the area herein referred to the Clerk of the Court
for Harford County may issue licenses for blinds without
the consent of the riparian owners prior to October 10th
of each year.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1st, T941.
