(1930 Edition), title "Wicomico County", sub-title "Delmar",
said new sections to be known as Sections 51A to 51C, to fol-
low immediately after Section 51 of said Article, and to read
as follows:
51A. No deed or deeds conveying real estate or chattels
real, situated or located within the corporate limits of the
Town of Delmar, in Wicomico County, Maryland, shall be
admitted to record among the Land Records of the Circuit
Court for said county until the property thereby conveyed or
assigned has been duly transferred upon the town assessment
books to the grantee or assignee named in such deed.
51B. Before such property shall be transferred on the said
assessment books, all town taxes, special assessments and
other public charges due and owing to the Town of Delmar
for the current year and all prior years must be paid, and as
evidence of such payment, the Clerk of Delmar shall stamp
upon said deed his certificate thereof.
510. The Clerk of Delmar shall further certify the fact of
said transfer upon the deed, and the Clerk of the Circuit Court
shall not record or accept for record any deed without the
certificates of the Clerk of Delmar as prescribed by this sec-
tion and by Section 51B.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners,
of Anne Arundel County to pay a pension to Mrs. Gertrude
Jones, widow of Samuel Augustus Jones.
WHEREAS, Samuel Augustus Jones faithfully served as a
police officer of Anne Arundel County for more than 28 years;
and
WHEREAS, Samuel Augustus Jones died before the effective
date of Chapter 758 of the Acts of 1939, providing, among
other things, for pensions for widows of police officers under-
certain circumstances; and
