played in conjunction with pari-mutuel pools or contract-
basque within the enclosure of Fronton, and authorizing the
erection and use thereof, any law or ordinance to the con-
trary notwithstanding, and providing for the disposition of
the fees and other revenues collected from the playing or
operation of such game or games, and providing for a
referendum hereon by submission to the qualified voters of
Montgomery County.

CHAPTER 846.
(House Bill 360)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 2B of the Annotated
Code of the Public General Laws of Maryland (1939 Edi-
tion), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Miscellaneous",
said new section to follow immediately after Section 98, and
to be known as Section 99, enumerating certain sub-sections
and sections of said Article which are not applicable to
Howard County.

WHEREAS, by Chapter 92 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of 1937, certain sub-sections and sections of Article 2B
of the Annotated Code of the Public General Laws of Mary-
land were repealed, insofar as the same applied to Howard
County; and

WHEREAS, after the passage of the said Chapter 92 of the
Acts of 1937, certain of said sub-sections and sections of said
Article 2B so repealed were re-enacted, said re-enactments in-
advertently failing to specify that they were inapplicable to
Howard County; and

WHEREAS, said sub-sections and sections of said Article, as
so re-enacted, were not intended to apply to Howard County;
and

WHEREAS, since the passage of said Chapter 92 of the Acts
of 1937, none of the sub-sections and sections repealed thereby
has been deemed to be in effect in Howard County; now,,
therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be, and the same is hereby, added
